Today was a stunning Wellington day and as I write this my face is warm with a kiss from the sun.
Because it was sunny I wore my summer dress from the stash, one of my absolute favourite dresses. It is soaked in memories of long summer days, meeting people, bare feet, wet hair, walking, laughing, reading. Every girl should own a maxi dress and as a girl who isn't overly fond of my leggies, I love that I can wear this dress in the summer and it still keeps me nice and cool. My boobs look big in this dress and so does my booty.
This photo below is probably my favourite picture of this journey so far, it was taken with love. 13 has always been one of my favourite numbers too. Today was a good day.
I'm late writing this as we've just got back from a gig. I had the absolute pleasure of hearing and watching Louis Baker perform tonight. Louis Baker is one of Wellington's stars; he shines so bright yet like an ember burns quietly and gently in the corner, unassuming. He was thankful and gracious and sung his heart out. He's just released a new song called Birds (click for link). It takes me to a place of immense joy.
Speaking of joy... A friend of mine has complained that I look too serious in my pictures. For those who know me, you will know this is not an accurate portrayal of who I am. Most of the pictures are taken first thing in the morning on the way to work when I am still waking up to the world. So for him... here is a smiling picture from today. (There will also be some more of tonight's frock posted tomorrow.)
