Over the weekend I wore four dresses from the stash. On Saturday night I wore this gold delight to dinner with my bestie from Dunedin. She's wearing one of my dresses too.
The night before I flew down for her wedding I went to get fish and chips for tea. While waiting for our order I ran across the road to look at a dress in the window of a shop. I quickly tried on the dress, ran the bank to transfer the money and made my purchase. Lucky really as I hadn't got anything to wear for the wedding. It is by WORLD and was only $150. Score.
As you can see by the picture I was asked to speak at the wedding. I wore giant stilettos (I'm 5'8") the whole day and at one stage I remember running full speed through a car park to get a lighter to light the wee tealights around the edge of the barn. After the wedding I went to see De La Soul by myself. I felt like such a big kid at a hip hop gig by myself and I felt like they were singing to me when they played 'me, myself and I'. I got hit on by some kid at the gig and when he found out how old I was he looked as though he'd seen a ghost. I did change my shoes for the hip hop gig, I put on my Chuck Taylors.
I also wore this dress to the Miromoda fashion show last year. My eyes are closed in one of the pictures but how fabulous does our crew look. Such style.
